Good wine begins in the vineyard. The majority of Texas Tasting™ grapes are grown in the Texas High Plains appellation of west Texas . Deep, well drained soil along with hot days and cooler nights provide for excellent growing conditions. Texas High Plains growers are known for specializing in:

Texas Tasting™ RED is a sweet non-varietal blend. It’s fruit flavors and overall balance pairs well with barbecue and Tex-Mex dishes. Texas Tasting™ WHITE is a sweet non-varietal white wine made from Texas High Plains Muscat Canelli. This wine bursts with fruit aromas. Supporting a soft finish, Texas Tasting White compliments a variety of chicken and shellfish dishes. It can also be enjoyed with any number of light desserts. It is best served chilled 40-50° F.

Texas Tasting™ MERLOT in addition to its deep color, exhibits aromas of plums and black cherries. Soft tannins support a well-rounded mouth feel and strong finish. These results were realized with over 12 months of oak barrel aging. This wine pairs well with grilled meats, all red pasta sauces as well as selected butter/cream sauces. Our MERLOT is best served at cellar temperature of 60-65° F.

Texas Tasting™ Three Step is our award winning cab blend. It has won medals at the Southwest Wine Competition and the Lone Star International Wine Festival. This red Meritage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Ruby Cabernet. The wine has notes of cherries and exhibits layers of fruit and spice in its finish. Three Step pairs well with smoked salmon, prime rib or Texas barbecue. Optimal serving temperature is 60-65°F.
