Texoma Winery Pours Wine in
First Ever London Wine Tasting--
Wineries from the southern states of the US staged their first ever tasting in
the UK on January 25th 2007 at Hush in Mayfair, London from 12pm – 4pm. Ten
wineries from Texas, North Carolina, and Tennessee visited the UK to promote
these up-and-coming wine-growing regions. The tasting was organized by the
Texas Department of Agriculture and the Southern US Trade Association (SUSTA).
Wines were poured to UK Importers, Sommeliers, and members of the British
press.
Texoma
Winery featured its Texas Tasting™ Merlot and Texas Tasting™ Three Step
(Meritage blend). Introduced at the tasting was Texoma’s newly released
Whispering Willow… a dry Chenin Blanc from the Texas High Plains Appellation.
Members of the English press commented on the high quality of the wines poured
at the event. Bernard Barbuk, Writer/Consultant stated, “All the Texoma wines
are good, the Whispering Willow is very rich in flavor”.
